Chuck led a group of George Washington University graduate students on a 5 day learning adventure in Cape Town South Africa in January. The course entitled “Leadership in Organizations” was designed to expose students to different models and applications of leadership in a global environment.
Students interviewed leaders from South Africa, India, France and the United States including the Chairman of the Board of the African Leadership Institute, Sean Lance, the Dean of the School of Engineering at the University of Cape Town, Dr. Francis Petersen, the President and Managing Partner of Thinking Dimensions Global, Dr. Mat-thys Fourie, the HR Manager of Juta, Ltd—a publishing company, Dr. Lee Kingma, the former Director of the Business School of the Netherlands (BSN), Pierre Strydom, Deborah Fassi, a Global Product Manager at Nielsen, and Dr. Ajai Singh, former CEO of Modi Entertainment in India. The students also conducted interviews of residents and tourists in Cape Town to get their insights on “the experience of great leadership.”
